Leadership
The head of our congregation is Jesus; he leads us and empowers us to share the Good News of God’s love through our prayer, worship, and actions.
Our baptismal vows call us to:
- “Continue in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in the prayers,
- To persevere in resisting evil, and, whenever we fall into sin, repent and return to the Lord,
- To proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ,
- To seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves
- To strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being.”
By these vows, we acknowledge that we are all ministers in the church and we all share in the work of the church.
Leadership of the congregation of Epiphany is shared between the Priest in Charge, the vestry (a committee of members elected to administer the temporal affairs of a parish), and the people
